Both citizens of all countries now obtain a visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport and all land borders as of January 1, 2018.


  1. A single entry visitor visa costs $50 and is valid for 30 days (with certain exceptions for some countries).
  2. A conference visa for one entry costs $30 and is valid for 30 days.
  3. A business visa with multiple entries costs $50 and is valid for one year.
  4. The East African Tourist Visa (EATV) is valid for 90 days and covers Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. It costs $100 and is suitable for Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda.

A valid passport or another appropriate travel document is required of all applicants. On the day of entry into Rwanda, the certificate must be valid for at least six months.

Visas can be obtained before departure by completing an online application and paying either online or upon arrival. Alternatively, applications may be sent to the Rwandan diplomatic missions in the countries where you live.
